Registered my Last Subject of B.Eng @ NTU

16/Dec/2008 - Today is the subject registration day for Part-Time B.Eng(Elect.) students for coming Semester 2 (AY08/09).

I registered my last subject for my NTU's B.Eng Degree. HW310: Professional Communication for 2 AU at Monday 7pm to 9pm.
Exam result will release at 29/Dec. After 29/Dec, I can guess my Honor class of my Degree already. Still need to wait 12 days for Semester 1 result... ... ... ... .... ...

I am going to take EE4761 tomorrow. Still needs a lot to study.
Yesterday was wasted whole day and I start doing Tutorial 1 today.
The situation is too bad. May be I can get a D. Maybe !!!!

RDT1.0, RDT2.0, RDT2.1, RDT2.2, RDT3.0 and TCP flow control, TCP congestion control.... omg, it's a lot need to study. I still have 15 hours from now to exam hall.


I should pull up my GPA with this subject but still no mood to study. Even if I fail, I am planning to take another subject at Semester 2. Feww.............

First Class is almost missed. 29/12/2008 the result will out. By that time, I will sure know which honor class I will be in.

关关雎鸠，在河之洲。窈窕淑女，君子好逑。
参差荇菜，左右流之。窈窕淑女，寤寐求之。
求之不得，寤寐思服。悠哉悠哉！辗转反侧。
参差荇菜，左右采之。窈窕淑女，琴瑟友之。
参差荇菜，左右芼之。窈窕淑女，钟鼓乐之。

《关睢》是中国最古老的情诗。
睢鸠鸣叫，作声关关，君子乍见窈宨淑女在河洲之中，便装模作样的扮作采摘（芼也是摘取）荇菜（即苋菜那一类），乘机走近，却未敢上前搭讪。想呀想的，晚上便睡不著觉。最后便决定用琴瑟钟鼓来打动那位不相识的美人儿。

这个「悠哉悠哉」，非是比喻悠闲自得，实是思之不已的样子。「求之不得」，「辗转反侧」两句最能刻划那君子思慕淑女的实况。傻小子郭靖与窈窕的蓉儿两情相悦，「一拍即合」，没有怎麼受过这求之不得，辗转反侧的煎熬。

金庸拿这首诗放在小说中也不是作情诗来用，而是弄一款狗屁不通的菜式，取名好逑汤： ……洪七公道：「哦，原来是美人君子汤。」黄蓉仍是摇头，笑道：「那麼这斑鸠呢？《诗经》第一篇是：『关关雎鸠，在河之洲，窈窕淑女，君子好逑』。是以这汤叫作『好逑汤』。」 《射雕英雄传》第十二回〈亢龙有悔〉 那个汤如何不通，我在拙作《解析射雕英雄传》已有评述，不赘论。

说到窈窕淑女的形象，自然教人想到名演员Audrey Hepburn （1929 - 1993）在1964年主演的名片My Fair Lady，中文片名便译作《窈窕淑女》。说一位女士fair，乃是指其人清爽、美丽、无瑕，令人眼睛与精神皆感到喜悦。窈窕则指体态美好又有德性。 Audrey Hepburn 确有欧洲式的优雅气质，可惜不够美貌，颈项过长了些。

周記 (Week-30, 2008)

22 July 2008:
I was been to Myanmar Embassy in Singapore to extend my passport. Wake up early at 6am and went to Tampinese to Met Ko Htein Lin. We went to the Embassy together. We arrived there about 7:30am and our queue number is about 55 and 56. After taking the queue number, we went out for breakfast. About 9am, we went back to Embassy.
The documents were been submitted around 11am and also need a long time to wait. Ce Liang called me for lunch but Ko Htein Lin did not want to go such far. So we went out for lunch at Tanling Mall and passport received about 3pm. And, of course, it's cost me 300SGD.
Oh, yes, I meet Steven at Embassy with his friend, The Po or TuTu. We had chat for an hour. I meet Ce Liang at AMK Hub after I come back from Embassy. We watched RedCliff at AMK Hub with student price of 6SGD each.

The Friday Night ....

Friday July 18, 2008 : This was the 200th day of the year, with 166 days remaining in 2008.

Min Foo was still busy with his AMKOI(Ang Mo Kio's Operator Interface) automation projects. Noon time, since no seniors around, I headed to the home, opened computer to run LogMeIn and saw ZhiLiang was online. At first I want to call him out for lunch but he said he finish the lunch, so I had a sleep of about one hours.

6:00pm, LayTian was around. Showing his nervous because he have an OR (operational review) on tuesday. I could not wait him to go back and thus, I just quitely leave the company. (that's true! today is friday night and why shuold I waste my goden time at work place ??? ) I straight away go to Bishan CC and meet the Sugi, window shopping at Junction 8 and oh, yes, we buy ToTo at Bishan. Sugi and I share 1SGD each to buy 2 ToTo for 2 draw. ( 21/07/2008 MON and 24/07/2008 THU and numbers are : 04 06 07 21 29 45 and 03 05 14 38 41 42 )

After that, we went to and buy Bubble tea. For my amazing, this shop really sell cheap. I ask for Coconut Jelly and it's cost only 1SGD. Normally I pay 1.80 SGD at sweettalk.



Back from Bishan, we went to AMK-Ave1, night market. I eat chicken chop there and Sugi buy a chicken burger. Sit at coffee shop for an hour. At first, we want to go to AMK Hub to play JackPot Machine. But, later, we just go back to my house and watch HBO. "Frequency" was showing and we watched until end of it, about 1:00 am.

Send Sugi back home after the movie and my friday night was gone .....

Eating Durian ---

17 / 07 / 2008 : Today is the full moon day of WASO, and I eat vegetarian BeeHoon at company canteen. Finally, I had complete the movement of "EWS product cookbook" at company. It's too tired checking all these php scripts.

18:30 : Zhi Liang call me for dinner. We went to Junction8 and have a dinner at JohnSilver. Cost me 7$ + On the way to home, I buy some BreadTalk bread for tomorrow breakfast. Oh, suddently I remember there will be "night market" at AMK Ave 1 and so, from Juntion8, I straight away ride there. The market is still in processing of setting up. Anyway, I buy 4 durian, 1$ each for total of 4$.

典故：

戰國時期，楚國是中國南方一個很強大的國家。一天，楚宣王問左右大臣們：「聽說北方那些國家，都 很怕我國的昭奚恤將軍，這是真的嗎？大臣們你看看我，我看看你，一個個面面相覷，不知該怎樣回答才好。他們都深恐一個不小心，回答得不得體，既得罪了楚宣王，又惹了昭奚恤將軍，那可不妙！這時，有位名叫江一的大臣，在經過一番思索之後，請求楚宣王先讓他說個故事，再回答這個問題。楚 宣王答應了，於是江一說了下面這則故事：在一座茂密的森林裡，有一隻餓得發慌的老虎正在尋找獵物。突然間，一隻狐狸從他身邊竄過，於是老虎毫不遲疑地猛撲上去，眼看馬上就可以飽餐一頓了。沒想到狐狸卻一本正經地對老虎說：「你不能吃我。」「什麼？」老虎大惑不解地問道。「因為我是上天派來管理百獸的。吃了我，你不就違背天意，大逆不道了嗎？」「這……」老虎愣住了，心想，自己怎麼不知道有這回事？就在老虎半信半疑的時候，狐狸又煞有介事地說了：「好吧！如果你不相信，我可以帶著你到百獸面前 走一趟，我保證，他們沒有一個不怕我的。」於是，狐狸和老虎一前一後地往前走去了。果然，森林中各種各樣、大大小小的野獸，像野豬啦、兔子啦、麋鹿啦，一看見狐狸和走在他後面的老虎，都害怕得四處奔逃。老虎這下子可不得不相信，他也因此再 也不敢提吃狐狸的事了。說完這個故事，江一又下了結論：「百獸逃跑，其實是因為怕老虎，但老虎自己卻不知道，反而以為百獸怕的是狐狸。如今大王您所治理的楚國，方圓五千里，精兵百萬，全部交給昭奚恤將軍統轄。北方人怕昭 奚恤，說穿了其實是怕您的精兵和雄厚的實力，就好比是百獸怕老虎而逃走呀！」

２２ 擁有屬於自己的金錢規劃
「一個人一生要花多少錢？」這是所有人都感興趣的好話題。最近有人把這個數字計算了出來，說在台北這樣的城市，一對夫婦一生的金錢消耗是七千萬元。聽起來有點嚇人吧，而這個數字只能滿足基本的小康生活。

２３ 離群索居十天、一個月

大部份的人喜歡跟團出國旅遊但是，跟團其實對35歲的人是很笨的旅行方式，甚至去的地方不外是美國加拿大，東南亞，美其名是出國，其實只是搭飛機去另一個地方，住五星級飯店，買一些阿里山，懇丁，甚至九份都買得到的東西罷了。要旅行就背著背包，一個人或三五好友，脫離自己的文化圈，去體會不同的文化和生活。

２５ 培養一種自己獨享的趣味

12 July 2008. In an instant, half of the 2008 had gone. And the days of July are also passing very fast. Almost half of the month now. I haven't start my FYP yet. I also have to pull up my GPA although I know the hope is very little.

Lip Chong is leaving the company and HR has freeze the new hire. I hope Sugi can join our company so that I don't have to take over the responsibilities from Lip Chong. But now, what can I do. The control is now even not in my manager, Sock Hwa's hand.

Checking the ToTo result for Thursday and OH! for my surprise, there is a winning person for this kind of winning numbers: 22, 32, 41, 42, 43, 44. The winning ticket is a QuickPick ticket. The winning person, at that time he received this ticket, would sure think that he sure will not win the jackpot. But now you see, 3.1M of jackpot prize. It will be one of the most top prize winning in ToTo history I guess. This make me more believe that everything is possible. I sure will also have a chance to win this kind of JackPot prize. I do always dream of it ...

Eating crab at BLK 232 , AMK

May 2008, Win Thu called me to go out for a dinner. We meet at AMK HUB. I parked my moto at AMK HUB and waiting Khine Yadana to come from her office.

From AMK HUB to BLK 232, it's about 5 bus stop. At first, we wanted to take TAXI. But after a long discussion, we decided to walk.

Oh, By the way, Khine Yadana buy a belt at AMK Hub for about 5$ (or 10 $ I didn't remember clerly )

Below BLK 232, Phyo Wai meet us.

We ordered one normal crab and one big crab for four person. Win Thu ordered two bottle of tiger. We had to work very hard to finish this two crab.

I meet Zaw Thu Hein on another table. I did say hello to him. He came here for dinner with his friends from his company.

A wonderful dinner although it's cost a lot to Win Thu :)

My Exam Results

Uh ... This semester, the exam results are not as expected. Although I had prepared for the worse, I did hope for the best. I was watching FLOOD while I was waiting for the result out. The website always timeout experiencing the high network traffic as expected. I had to wait until 1:00am then I can access the system.

Oh my god! No "A" at all. I quickly calculate this semester GPA. I only get 3.5/5.0 for this semester (second lower honour) and overall of 4.4/5.0 (still in second upper).

My First Blog

Last month, I met my old friend 李志良 (officially should call Mr. Sugiharto GozaLie, I think) at friendster. It had been about eight years we lost contact. And he post his nick name as eXeQzaLie. Being curious, I search this eXeQzaLie in google search and I found his blogger blog. I had read through some and realized that his writing skills is quite impressive.

Few weeks passed by and my New college Mrs Thiri show me her husband blog. A lot of photos post there. So, getting momentum from these two persons, I also have an idea to create mine.

Coming monday ( 21 April 2008 ) is my first paper for Software Engineering and this final exam, I have four paper to take. So... I should stop here and return to my study desk. Maybe after exam, I will note back the Memories I want to node it down.
